Frequently Asked Questions

 You qualify, take and pass the online course, and submit an acceptable photo and a copy of your current RRP certificate..

  1. You live in an accredited State: WA, OR and ALL EPA regulated States; AND

Exceptions: this course NOT accepted in these States:
AL, DE, GA, IA, KS, MA, MS, NC, OK, RI, UT, and WI

2. Your current RRP Renovator Certification must be valid; AND

3. You must COMPLETE the online course materials and pass the online test before your current RRP certificate expires.

More time is allowed for uploading your current certificate and photo. 

 We take your privacy very seriously.  Information we collect will be transmitted to regulators and will allow communication for the completion of this course. Before you purchase the online course, we collect student registration information including your email address.  This personal data is required by EPA and is incorporated into your RRP Renovator Refresher Certificate.  We verify your email address by sending you a web link in an email.  By clicking on the link, the email is verified. Since the data will be “official” with EPA, we ask that you double check the accuracy of what was provided just before entering the course. 

We have made this super easy.  Scan your certificate (or wallet card) on a printer and save the results as a PDF file on your computer desktop.  When the system prompts you, choose the Browse button and find your existing RRP certificate (PDF file) on your computer desktop.  Click the upload button.  That’s it.

 We made this super easy too.  For this head and shoulders shot, review the criteria (no hats, sunglasses etc.) and pull several “candidate” pictures into file where you can easily find these.  Using our handy cropping tool, size and trim the picture and save the resulting JPG file to your computer desktop.  When the system prompts you, choose the Browse button and find that picture (JPG file) on your computer desktop.  Click the upload button.  That’s it. 

 Once we have your certificate and photo, a person must review and accept them.  That can take a few days so submitting your materials early is wise.  If the materials are found NOT to be acceptable, as soon as this is determined, we send you an email telling you what remains to be done and asking you to re-submit.  Meanwhile you can keep working through the course. 

 You are guaranteed to pass.  You may take the online final as many times as needed to attain a passing score.  The course is easy and interesting.  A request for a full refund within 60 days will be granted only if you do not complete the online course materials AND are qualified to take the Refresher RRP course.  Just contact us with your name and email. 

You must complete the online section of the course before your current, valid RRP Certificate expires.    If you have not already submitted your materials, you will receive emails at regular intervals indicating any remaining information we need and your current status in the course.  Submitting your existing certificate and photo submissions early is a wise course of action.

 If you intend to conduct RRP Renovator work in WA State, then get the WA State accredited product (its good in OR as well).  It costs $25 more for the WA certificate.  To be legal in WA State this is required.  Also provide a copy of the resulting certificate to regulators in OR State.  They will accept this.  Then you will be good in both States.
